Guys, for some reason neither of us can get our head around this. Using .25 kanthal with 4 turns at 3mm diameter gives us around 1.4ohms. Now, using .20 kanthal on a 3mm diameter coil how many turns would give us roughly 1.4ohms? Is it more or less turns? We just can't get our head round it and we don't have much wire so can't experiment with trial and error.

Thanks guys and Merry Christmas to you all ;)

less turns.

the thinner the wire, the more is resists currrent flow.

think: hosepipe.

then look up at the power lines

bigger wire=less resistance, smaller wire=more resistance, like a water pipe.

As Vern says.
If you go to 0.32 wire you get more turns for 1.4ohm. Thus ending up with a bigger wire surface area, (bigger coil).
Bigger coil = more contact with juice. (I think that's right).

@brothers vxr i'd try 25 or 30 first guys you dont wanna chance going too low, and invest in an ohm meter http://www.p-vaper.co.uk/Sigelei-Atomizer-Ohm-Meter
this is the one i have
