Kanger Protank: Expanding plastic grommet

Noticed a bad/burning taste from my protank earlier (full of juice with a new coil head). So opened it up to investigate and found the rubber/plastic grommet that sits over the central post had massively expanded to the point where it was completely covering the wicks, stopping any juice getting to them.

Works fine without it so I just took it out, although I imagine it might be a bit leaky if not kept upright.

Anyone else noticed this. See picture below of the expanded one next to a normal one:

I think all of my protank heads have done that at some point. On 2 of them a small ring of rubber has come off the grommet. They still work fine though

That's good to know, I'm going to see if an evod grommet will fit. Never seen it happen to one of those.
