I really don't get it, you would have thought it would have been a "must" and set that mod apart from and above the rest????

I did really expect the Provari to have that option for the price!

The electronics are held underneath the head piece. These rely upon soldered connections (you could do it without though) and therefore need a fixed positive.

But I'm assuming the + pole is attached to the electronic via a wire?.n?..surely there would be enough flexibility to allow for a few turns on a screw in that type of connection?

Theoretically yes, no problem. But how would you warranty that? I don't think I would.
You could make a kind of floating connector but that might also cause problems with the amps going through it.
