Aspire Nautilus Prime X

10w more made all the difference. 50w with whatever coil I've got in there is ace. I'm liking it full open personally but If you like it more on the restricted side of rdl then airflow half closed is sweet. Either way, it's a little badass gem.

Even though it would not be for me, I'm still pleased that it works well for you.

Likes limiting me to 40w. Obviously working off the resistance. Easy fix is to take it out of auto in to wattage mode. Problem solved. Some nice touches like the fill hole depresses to fill the tank. Can fit some nice coils but wouldn't go crazy with an exotic 3mm as it sits quite close to the peek insulation and an exotic 3mm could see stuff melting if careless, I reckon.

Okay, so I’ve just build the RDTA. Initial thoughts are:

1. this is a pain to build as you are having to take the deck (which doesn’t stand up or screw into a mod or atty) in and out of the attachment to dry fire and then to wick.
2. The airflow isn’t brilliant and I’m struggling a bit to get it right - it’s a bit clunky
3. The deck is dead easy to build on. Just drop the coil in and screw.
4. Easy to wick, although I never have and still don’t trust the wicking on an RDTA.
5. The flavour is very very good

Yeah, when you want them to last longer they don't and when you don't, they do! :18:

Built the rdta. I like it. It wants 2.5 mm coils IMHO. The bar fits perfectly across the deck. Easy to build, easy to wick. Airflow is a perfect rdl fully open. My only mistake was forgetting I only had 40w to play with. Not sure what wire I used, just happened to find a 3 inch strand of something that looked nice. Probably 2x26/40. Did 6 wraps, should've done 5 but 6 spaced just fitted so nicely. 0.35ohms. Battery isn't impressed. :18: prolly do a simple clapton next time 26/40 5 wraps.

I really like it tho.

Definitely wants a .25mm coil. I’ve put an alien in and it’s clattering along superbly at 32w. Lovely flavour. How did you find building it? It’s a tad fiddly for me, although I’ve never been one for the RDTA anyway, I found having to take the centre piece out to wick a pain!!

It does screw into a mod. Once the little ss ring is screwed off the bottom just pull whole thing out of the pod and screw on to mod. Sturdy and gives easy access for wicking. Found it very easy to build. Screwed it into my mod 101 and hey presto.

Agree on coil size. Think it's what they wanted as a 2.5mm coiling bar sits perfectly in the groove across the deck.
