Just ordered a 306 LR bridgeless atty. Have have also ordered a cheapo plastic 306 drip tip. Is this all I need to get started? Or will I get burned?

So I've scoured the net for info and have sort of an idea, but still a little confused - would appreciate any hints 'n' tips

  • Would a drip shield be worth getting? If so where do I find these?
  • I don't want to waste vodka (!!!), would denture tablets be okay you think?
  • I'm going to be using this a lot (if I like it) so how often should I clean it?
  • To dry burn or not to dry burn, this is the question?
  • When I first get it I put about 7 drops in? And then 3 drops hence afterwards?
  • Could I use this when out and about with a dropper bottle or is this just too much of a pain in the derriere?
  • How long could I expect one of these things to last - or is this an impossible question to answer? (I use clear thin 70% pg)

I understand that it can be a learning curve and would really appreciate any advice.

Cheers guys

A drip shield really is so you can use a regular 510 drip tip. They supposedly help with "leaking" but nothing helps with leaking in this industry :P

Use hot water if you dont want to waste vodka? I wouldn't use denture tablets on metal... besides.. they kind have chemicals and such that could leave a residue that wouldnt be safe to vape.

Clean it as often as you like... remember, they don't last forever.

Why would you? 306 dripping atties burn them selves once the juice runs out anyways :P

I only ever put about 3-5... they have NO holding capacity so you will be dripping quite a bit.

That is totally up to you.

As little as a few days, as long as a few months, it all depends :D

I have just started dripping. ( no innuendo intended :P )

I am however using a bridged 306. I have to say it is a whole new world of vaping when you direct drip.
Everything multiplies 10 fold. Flavour is awesome, throat hit is great and the amount of vapour it produces is insane.

What I have found in regard to the amount you drip in to the atty. It all depends on the bottle you use. Sounds silly but if you compare some of the different bottle available you will understand.

I use a lot of the genuine Dekang ready made liquids and the needle top on those 10ml bottles is tiny in comparison to the ones on the 30ml bottles and other 10ml bottles I use for mixing my own.

I use 3 drops max from one of the bigger ones or else it will leak quite bad but I can manage 5-6 drops from the dekang bottles :)

Oh before I forget, in reply to one of your questions. If you are just using a normal plastic 306 drip tip like the one that come with my atty then yeah youre going to get burnt lips haha

I learned the hard way, thats not a drip tip :) its just a protective cover. Too thin and it gets hot as hell!

before i started using my Pro Dripper a 306 Bridgeless was all i used out doors and in just dripping

i used a Dripshield and a XL 306 drip tip and a 510 to 510 adapter to stop leaks I vapour sells them

here is the Adapter http://tinyurl.com/avw35xa if you are using a ego thread you don't need one but need to get the ego dripshield

here is the Ego drip shield http://tinyurl.com/a9ukqo4 or safercigs do them http://tinyurl.com/9wjhdq7

or the 510 one http://tinyurl.com/bbgacr4

and the XL drip tiphttp://tinyurl.com/blqpwqw or a drip tip adapter http://tinyurl.com/agb8dwy

i used to get 12 drops from new and 8 after with a proper fitting drip shield

hope this helps

@ ocd13 Thanks for that - I've wondered what people meant when they say not all drips are equal lol. And yeah, I heard about the burnt lips lmfao - got myself a cheapo plastic 306 drip tip, and if it works out for me I might splash out on one of those precision metal posh ones.

@ Stig41 - really appreciate the info and links. It's going to take me several readings of this to get my head around it :/ Damn that's good if you can get 8 drops in there though.

Cheers guys.

Oh my god, oh my god....

It arrived this morning. This is it - I need nothing else. You can shove your boges and clearos up your...

Lmfao...

I'm having a blonde week and still trying to get my head around those links. Just wondering if you'd rate that combo above a 306DCA? Also, where's the best place to get my grubby mitts on a DCA if they're 'better'?

Btw: still chuggin' away on this 306, and I'm in vapers' heaven (also, my liquid consumption is less than a 3rd of what it was previously! !!).

Got my Bauway one last week. It's not for me.
burnt lips and juice leaks ain't my thing :(
