Pilates and CBD help the best with back pain. Just my experience here I also take some supplement for bones and joints from (so bored now) which are really good and working too. I recommend that you have a look there too, maybe you will like those too, good luck!
Pilates and yoga are fine and helpful, once you know it is safe to do so, ie: get that mri or other scan first, my back went at a yoga class, my first mri scan 10 months later showed a hideously fucked lumbar spine, something that was longstanding and not related to doing yoga. However, I had been doing a lot of the unsupported shoulder stand, mind boggling!
