ok .. this I don't get ? must be me .. I have 2 sxk bb's but why do all that to them ?

Because on a personal level, this is the design that first really made me think about the possibilities? I purchased a secondhand genuine BB for about the same money as one of your SXKs would have been when purchased new, the bill for the Cerekote finishing was enough to still bring it out at just under the RRP of a New Genuine Stock BB, so I am happy enough at that.
Sure...... I get that it won't appeal to all, but I like it, I am happy with what it has cost me, so that'll do me.
I couldn't afford to buy the BB it is modelled upon (Friendly Flipper Galaxy).

So after a lot of work and getting the SXK BB back in business (board went bad) now the switch under the fire button has gone bad. Man, this is just not meant to be I think.

Last time someone was kind enough to send me the up down switch PCB, but this time I am just not able to find that kind of switch anywhere. Has anyone managed ot get one of the fire button PCB's from anywhere?

it's not about the money..i'll throw £600 at a new rod or £2k on a new pc .. to me it's a vape tool yes I enjoy the bb but why make it look like a tart on a sat night ?
lol if it's fit for purpose then just use it .. but each to there own ..

I just think that we are all different. I find it interesting to see other people's ideas and creativity come out in their devices.

I’m the same. The only customisation on mine is the button and tip as I like to keep things simple and ,for me, mine is perfect as is. However, I do like seeing what people come up with. Some of the cerakote stuff is amazing, if not always to my taste. I like some of the stab doors too, especially the ones with the tree design (haven’t a clue who makes them) but stabwood for me would be pointless as I need my billet to remain as tough as possible.

I am trying to make my own, I bought some of the microswitches and thin wire, my only problem is how to laminate it, I've soldered and tested it as a loose fit and works a treat but without encapsulating it I can't shape it to fit into the recess.

Happy to send you a freebie once I suss it out.

Any ideas @domejunky ?

I can't afford to buy 40 dollar doors and 25 dollar buttons, but if I can trick something out a bit for a little money and some ingenuity, I will.

There's something satisfying when a 2 dollar gasket, a one dollar drip tip and a .25 cent piece of aluminum foil from the kitchen make a big improvement in appearance. I know somebody else will get this.

Not there's a thing wrong with fancy accessories. That's not what I'm saying at all.

That will be great. I guess using double sided tape in the shape of the recess would be one option?
