Squonk² -The long awaited.
This one has been on the cards for about 9 months, I always intended on making a smaller version of the Squonk³. I have been though several iterations, now finally I have landed on a configuration and format I am really thrilled with
Part of this journey has been to invest in a 3D printer, I had initially intended to just use this for prototyping and testing but the results have been much better than I had expected!
So here are a few pictures of the couple I have run off so far, I am really pleased with these especially the internals, I just need to get the final piece finished to cover the internals around the switch/510.
I was initially intending on doing the Squonk² in wood in a similar way as the squonk³ but looking at these I am thinking of doing a run of 3D printed versions first.
Doing them in 3D printed version will keep the cost down and also open's up many options for colours and finish with the great range of filaments available for the 3D printer. Also they come out at a super light 175g incl juice and battery!
I will do some in wood and aluminium eventually!
Specs-
1900mAh Lipo battery built in (aprox equivalent to single 18650)
60W SX350 chipset
built in micro usb charging
10ml bottle
22mm 510 (probably FDV V4-not decided on that yet)
Serial numbers on inside of door
12mm Mitec Switch
I would be really interested to get some feedback on what you think.
