Hi all been using Tc a lot on my MTL set up in the past, I had some 22/23 SS that was free with other stuff i ordered a while back and it's been gathering dust so I thought let me try it for a build.

9/10 wraps spaced came up 0.33 I locked the resistance after wicking and waiting for it to settle .

Set up single coil elder dagon and using the trusted agies dual.

Favour banging and no ear pain or throat paint after vaping.

Is there a go to ss gauge ?

For example on MTL non TC it's 27 or 28awg in most cases.

Many thanks in advance.

Top tip for you @82khali , take the top o-ring off. Having just wrestled the cap off, it turns easier without it :D

Thanks guys

If I use 28 ss, to get a 0.30 I can only get one 2 wraps :/ and vape at 6.5w.

What ohm do you guys aim for ?

Many thanks in advance guys

If you're aiming for 0.3ohm you'll need 24-26AWG. 24AWG, 6 wraps is a touch under 0.3ohm. If it's for TC you ideally want to be around 0.35ohm due to the TCR of SS316 being quite low. SS below 0.3ohm can cause issues with some mods not being able to sense the resistance change when heated. SS wire has a quick ramp up time so thicker guage isn't an issue.

I'm no TC vaper but a 9 wrap (8 and a half full wraps) 3mm i.d. 24ga SS316L round wire coil should come out at slightly over 0.40 ohms. As the width of a 9 wrap 24ga contact coil is only about 5mm wide you should be able to space it to avoid potential hot-spotting. There looks to be plenty of room for a spaced coil in the Elder Dragon deck.

5-6 wraps works best on the Elder Dragon, any bigger and the airflow only hits the centre of the coil.
