What's causing my short?

Brochrome (flat Ni80) 23,24 or 25awg will cover nearly all bases. 5 wraps will range from 0.2ohm to 0.3ohm (23awg - 25awg). If dual coiling use 25 or 26awg so you don't end up too low.

I've only ever used 26g kanthal from crazy wires. It must be what 4 year old as the guy had tried making a micro coil with it & gave up building. I've only done a twisted with it so far so I guess Clapton is the next logical step.

What kind of builds are flat wires good for? I can't imagine them being good for twists but I hear alot of people are mad for them. Does kinda make sense for surface area & all.

I use 24awg brochrome, dual coil, 7 wraps, comes in around .25 ohms. Stick 60w through them and you're golden.
