you will get there, you must have waited long enough on the orion list to get it so give it a go mate again and again lol

Just keep oxidising you cannot do this too much and keep the wire from your top coil as tight to the centre post as u can

+1 for this answer! I have been really lucky with my Orion in the couple of months I have had it in terms of wicks and coils. I followed Scott's video about oxidising the wick and found it to be rare to get a hotspot. When I do it is in the same place at the top near the centre post and I find a quick jiggle of the coile with a toothpick sorts it out.
Unfortunately though I have not been as lucky with the dreaded Orion leak and am currently waiting on a replacement switch from Pallipoe until it arrives I can only sit and gaze longingly at mine
