Tfv8 rba recommendations

Afternoon, I have just moved onto the tfv8 rba this afternoon and I'm struggling to maintain a wet burn, I can use it for around 2 seconds before the Wick dries out. Is my Wick too tight or is this normal.

Also, I'm using the pre built rba, and not liking how harsh it is, I'm wanting a smoother taste, currently running at 75w 0.3mg and it's a bit harsh, can anyone recommend or link me a decent smooth coil build?
