I ran across this video from RipTrippers, the creator of the AC9:


This the first I've heard of using cotton like this, and it kind-of makes sense. It also seems like a bit of a gimmick and pain in the a.
This is the same cotton material that some have been using in place of silica wicks. Has anyone tried anything like this? Thoughts?

This is what I originally thought a hybrid wick was. Good to see this, will have to give this a try one day. Remember trying to find Muslim cloth years ago and no shops sold it so it was an eBay Jobby.
 
I'm way too lazy for that but looks a good idea :D that is some cool face furniture he's sporting too!
 
This method is quicker & easier...


I've since gotten beyond the need, but it works. :D

Good tip, I'll try this with my next mesh.
Nice! Let us know how it turns out. It makes sense to me. It's kind of like an extra liquid reserve on top of the wick. I normally use U wicks, so that would be a real pain to wrap for me.
