Ribbon wire

As it's that time of the month for buying supplies etc I thought I'd like to give ribbon wire a go, but not sure what size to get.

Ideally I'd like to end up with a coil around 0.5 - 1ohm range.
I use a 2 mm or 2.4 mm screwdriver to wrap my coils if that helps.

i've got a big reel of 1mm by 0.1mm stuff if you want i can send you a coupla meters down

Just occurred to me at the width would I have issues getting it through post holes etc?

no mate you can crimp it with pliers at the end

0.8 is okay to use in most drippers 4 wraps is 0.7ohns roughly on 2x3mm silica
