What's new

Good quality Rose V2 Clones are here...

Get yourself a 454, Vulcan or Doge dripper mate ;)

The problem is that I only single coil everything! So it makes it pretty hard to find a suitable dripper for me. I do really want a Vertex... but it's impossible to get hold of!

I'd like to have my own little take on clones vs authentics, hijack this thread slightly.

I am an avid clone user, but am getting put off them as of late. I only really want authentics, and feel like I will just use clones to test if I like the authentic first before purchasing.

However, their are companies out there that take the absolute piss. I mean £90 for an RDA, that is impossible to get hold of? And the companies wonder why people buy clones for a 9th of the price?
I am glad there are chinese companies coming out with out with cheap original products. It shows that it is doable.

I totally agree, I know China will be able to knock these out very cheap, but there shouldn't be that much of a price difference and for people like me, who have very little money available, we're left with very little option, other than to stick with the clones, or be left using carto's, as I can't afford a ton for an RDA and more than that for an RBA.

Don't get me wrong, if I had a lot of spare cash each month, I would go for the genuine article, even if the price is well OTT.

If I just stuck to carto's, the chances are that I would have given up and gone back to the fags, so until the genuine article is down to the Kayfun price level, or lower, I'll stick with the clones.

Yeah I agree with you, I don't earn much either. However at least we have the option to go authentic with the cheap high wattage box mods, or mechs like the Smok one for 30 quid.

If making inferior quality copies is classed as you put doing things extremely well then I may need to get some of these to enlighten my mind to that vision
Ha ha! Much more hard nosed than that. Manufacturing to a price point inevitably leads to compromises, compromises the original designers are not prepared to make for admirable reasons. I love that kind of passion personally, and it's worth paying for if it's affordable.

Interesting to know whether your car was made with such passion, or hard nosed pragmatism bronbunbet? Is your home filled with bespoke furniture, one-off white goods and specialist audio-visual equipment, or do you buy mass-manufactured rubbish like the rest of us? Maybe try those glasses on yourself sometime?

The 454 will run on a single coil ... my one does ;)

Youve got the wrong end of the stock mate completely.
my post was intended for the people moaning about Eden mods not having them in stock, the website, vapist not having any etc etc. yes this is a thread about the clone but my post was nothing to do with it. I actually find it quite bizarre that out of all the posts on the thread it was my post that mentioned absolutely nothing about the clone or people buying clones that you took offence to. Madness.

Well I apologise profusely Sam as I can see where I have like fucked up a little bit.
Make the fucking most of this as I do not do very often.

Sorry :worship:

Oh yes of course I forgot about my cloned TV and sofa and that washing machine that eats my socks It's totally incomparable to the topic being discussed here but if it justifies your point of view so be it after all that's what forums are for. As I've seen in your posts you have a passionate argument you subscribe to or be it a rose tinted theory on production as such in my eyes but each to their own.

No disrespect intended?? Well I am sorry M8 but you mention evrything in your reply apart from money.

The money argument comes up time and time again and it drives me bananas. Mostly because time and time again, it's thrown in the faces of people who can afford original mods. The assumption always seems to be that people who buy originals have lots of money to chuck about and so our anti-clone stance is taken from a position of privilege and anybody not in said privileged position can justify buying clones because they 'aren't as well off'

Well, I buy originals, but Rockefeller I ain't- I don't drink, I don't smoke, I do my food shopping very sensibly, I haven't bought a new pair of shoes or new clothes in a VERY long time, a lot of the furniture in my home is bought second hand and I've done it up, I bargain hunt and discount find constantly, I spend hours on sites like hotukdeals and I negotiate the best prices on everything, I am a first class haggler. If I want an original mod and I can't afford it I save up..

It's all well and good if you don't want to spend x amount on a genuine mod, but to use money as an excuse like clones are your only option is, in my opinion, bullshit! There is plenty of reasonably priced genuine kit out there, nobody NEEDS high end gear in order to vape, they WANT it, so price becomes irrelevant to the argument.

Oh and as an aside, whilst we're on the subject of money, don't think your sly dig the other day went unnoticed. We could have chosen to justify why Sam and I own origional mods but aren't in a position to fork out for camping gear we wont use again for god knows how long, but frankly, it's none of your fucking business ';)'

Very much so. What I am alluding to is that vaping is not a world unto itself, life and business go on around it. The judgement people use in making buying decisions for vaping gear should follow the same as it would for any other kind of purchase - so yes, each very much to their own.
The principles of business are the same no matter what business you are in. Most businesses are strong in some areas, weak in others. What you consider to be "nowt but nonsense", I actually think is very pertinent indeed and the evidence is in the marketplace and in this thread.
