Tho' I mostly warm the coils and dip them in water to clear the crap off these days.....

Got a bit worried thinking id killed my coils.

Since dry hurning a few times my coils have lost there shinyness and gone dull. Was worried they dead now

I've had Nichrome coils last months, despite looking like something you'd drag out of a scrap yard.
Do try the heat and dip method if you want shiny shiny for a wee while longer.

You'll know when they are dead as the flavour won't be as bright or you get the odd hot spot or the metal just looks crumbly.
