Why are they calling it a 'subtank' when the coils are 1.5 and 1.8 ohms? Apart from that (and the damned bubble glass ) it looks ok.

..... because they don't have a clue what they are talking about.

Seems odd that they would go for a horizontal coil too ... not really feeling any excitement to be honest.

I suppose they are trying to recreate the same experience as the rta, but more automatic for the people. To coin a phrase.
We shall see. Innokin made horizontal coils work in the isub range. Could be a flavour revelation.
