strawberry jam

just been watching some youtube and came across a strawberry recipe specifically jam monster - strawberry clone or his variation of it.
he suggested adding 0.5% fa blackcurrant to a strawberry to boost it and help with the jammy note.
the whole recipe was like 14 flavours but strawberry were fa straw/tfa ripe/cap sweet straw just wondering has any one tried adding blackcurrant to their strawberries and has it added anything to them or boosted the strawberry?

I find inw blackcurrant better for the jammy effect. It's just thicker tasting for me. You don't get much of the flavour but it does jam up the strawberry a little.

Edit: still use it at 0.5%

I read somewhere once this was the sole flavouring in just jam.

so far cant say its the key think fa liquid amber is still the daddy
