I've invested in a couple of litres of VG and half a litre of nicotine for the long term, but I don't need to use any of it yet. Currently I've got them both in the fridge...

Where's the best place to store them long term?

I know I can store the nicotine in the freezer, but can I do that with the VG as well?

Can I just store them in a cupboard?

Do either of the products have a limited shelf life?

You can freeze both but it depends on what you mean by long term. Both have a shelf life (unfrozen, unrefridgerated) of about 12 months.
If you're talking about less than a year then storing in a cool, dark place like a cupboard is fine, refridgeration would be better, but there's no need to freeze either of them.
If you're storing beyond 12 months then freeze it.

It's actually better to use VG when it's fresh and as there's no restriction on supply at all, making provision for long term storage is pointless. Better to use that space for more nicotine.
