Hi all,

I have an allotment and I’m going to grow some tobacco on it next year with the aim of extracting the flavour from the leaves and putting in some e-liquid. I’ve heard you can steep it in VG but it takes a very long time. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do this?

I've done it, usually it's PG rather than VG. Some use heat. Other solvents too - steam, isopropyl alcohol, CO2

It works rather well. Just cover the tobacco with PG, leave for 3 months - maybe up to 6 months. Top up occasionally if necessary. Then filter the liquid. Common approach is once through a coffee filter, then a second through an Aeropress - some go further with specific value lab filters, but it's a case of diminishing returns.

Yours would be interesting as there wouldn't be any 'casing' or curing - the treatment/flavouring applied to pretty much all tobaccos

There's a good Facebook/Reddit group: /r/diytobaccoejuice
