Do you wash new bottles?

To answer Simon G, no I have never felt ill or anything as a result.
To answer everyone else, I used to work in the polythene industry, any anything that is meant to hold food, drinks etc is supposed to be manufactured in a clean room area,
Also polythene etc is a thermo process at temperatures between 150, and 250 degrees C, so the product is sterile until it comes into contact with something else.

The empty bottles I get, come without the caps on....prob been through a few warehouses....how can they be sterile, anything could have entered the bottles at anytime.

@Rickster , urine is sterile at the point you evacuate it. That doesn’t mean I would puff it in a vape. Sterility is overrated.

I don’t but I think I am going to start after reading this thread. I guess you never really know if there is anything leftover from the manufacturing process. Probably better to be safe than sorry especially since what it’s going to be in contact with goes into your lungs.

But how can you guarantee that the water you wash the bottles in is sterile.

@Badboybez is right, your tap water might be more contaminated than whatever is in the bottles. And if you use any kind of soap, it might be harmful to inhale the residue from it.
