So I ordered some Capella waffle concentrate to make one of my flavours, only thing is, it's super dark, mixing guide says use it at 6% in blends, but the made up liquid looks super dark compared to my normal mix (don't usually use Capella) I'm wondering if I usually buy really watered down concentrate???

Some brands have certain concs that are darker than others. I suppose it is the way they are manufactured.
For sure the first time I tried a caramel it was light, almost the same colour as a Laphroaig. The next bottle of caramel I got was as black as tar. Different brand and not as good but worked slightly better than the first one.
Might well be worth making a wee tester bottle with the dark stuff at a slightly lower percentage and see how that works out.

Aye, that's how the cap waffle cane through black as anything, smells quite harsh, will leave the mixed up stuff in the cupboard see if it lightens up :)
