Charge new vtc5's before use?

Should I be charging my new vtc5's before I use them for the first time or drain them in a mod and then charge?

The last few batteries I've bought have come near fully charged. Keep in mind you shouldn't be draining them, they don't have a memory but I charge mine when they reach around 3.6v - 3.7v because draining them will put strain on them, thus knackering them.

Cheers dude I'll make sure to give them a charge before use and I got a inline voltmeter, so I'll charge them at around 3.7.

I always fully charge all batteries before use, just to be safe!
