Spent 4 hours fault finding and managed to fix an Wismec RX2 Jaybo 20700, I was feeling pretty chuffed with myself I popped it back together only to find the 510 thread is cross threaded near the top :17:

I've tried all I can to clean the thread but I need a tap.

Found one on fleabay but not sure which to get, my options are:
Plug
2nd
Taper

Leaning towards the PLUG as it looks useful for cleaning up threads, I can strip down the mod again to get a clear hole but I know some mods can be a bitch to get a clear bore.

So I'm after experienced advice which will be most useful?

The 2nd tap looks more useful but not sure if it will bite on a cross threaded connector?

I have a 510 tap and you could retap the thread but it would still be crossed.
Why not just swap the 510?

It's only the 1st thread that's cross threaded, tapping from the underside will sort it, but found another alternative.

I have a 2nd RX2 that was beyond saving I used as a donor for the fixed one, just stripped that and managed to knock out the press fit 510, hopefully I can swap them over.

If you've got a blind hole and need to thread to the bottom, you've no option but to get the plug tap. It's a fine thread so should be easy to chase. Otherwise a "second" tap is more useful.
