Rags beast mod High Voltage Box mods style

[BaDaBooM]

Never done a mosfet mod before so bare with me. Done semi mech ones before but nothing this brutal.

Parts list.
Mosfet
Led Volt meter
14AWG wire
Other wire
Green led switch
FDV 510
Hammond 1590B
S2 8.4v lipo
Slide switches

Parts

Mockup.

Machining: Machined straight and a 10mm hole for the FDV 510.

Machining: Fancy vent hole, I'm a bit bored with the standard round ones..

Machining: 12mm button hole and a cut out for the led display.

Wires tinned and ready to be soldered. Important to tin and apply flux.

Soldering the mossy. Top tip wrap tinfoil around the wire and then pull the shrink tubing over it and the foil will act as a heat shield so it doesn't shrink.

Broke one of the legs off the mosfet doh.... To be continued.... new mosfet in the mail.

I would suggest adding a 5.6V diode to the gate, it will add some low volt protection for the battery - only reason I say this is that I killed a 1000mAh 2S Turnigy this weekend by letting it go too low on my raptor and leaving it plugged in to box for a day!

I'm very very meticulous with checking.my battery charge level, in fact if I.go out for a long.time I take a multimeter to check them.. haha
Ever since vapefest when I drained a battery to 2.6v... >.>
Plus, the voltmeter will do both under load, and off load without an.attie attached
