Hi folks

This post has changed drastically since I first posted it half an a hour ago...

whereas I originally asked if anyone would try to fix a ZMax with a diodgy button, the new question is........

has anyone out there got any ideas where I can get a Smok zmax v2 PCB?

The button was playing up and the LCD cover dropping down inside (yet again - third one so far with both these problems)

I looked at a tutorial. it says stick a long thin bit of metal down each side and tap it out....... I went out just now to find something that fitted, and when I put the battery back in a minute ago it's registering zero ohms and no vape :(
I've now got it apart and I can see where I must've scraped a teeny tiny little piece off the PCB:oops: much like piglet in Winnie Poo; the tiny bits are often very important.

here's a follow up.........

when I turned over the PCB i noticed some of the plastic over the coils has broken off.

On reviews of the zmax v2 there seem to be two common problems:

the LCD cover dropping down inside
the button misfiring.

as the LCD cover is actually glued to the PCB I can only see one reason it dropping down - the PCB dropping down.
I'd guess that as the plastic has broken off, the PCB has dropped.

my logic is, that as the PCB drops down the contact made when pressing the button might not be as strong causing the misfires.

any thoughts anyone?
